Lent is a 40 day period of preparation for Easter and is one of the oldest observations on the Christian calendar (there are documents dating back to 130-200 ad referencing the practice of Lent in the early church.)  This year Lent begins on Valentines day, but feel free to jump in at any time!  There is a special Holy Week devotion included that begins with Palm Sunday on March 24th!
