Summer in the Psalms Week 2 - Psalm 67 | Sunday Service 10:30am
Oh to see God's ways, His salvation, and His praises spread throughout all the earth. What a glorious thing that would be!
The psalmist opens with words that ring familiar to the Aaronic blessing;
"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace." --Numbers 6:24-26
Continuing with a call for global praise; "Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you!" --Psalm 67:3
One doesn't have to go far to encounter *all the peoples* praising and worshiping something else instead of God. Even us, at times, will attend church seeking other things instead of the worship of Jesus. Let us meditate on the words of this psalm, praying for our hearts to be in tune with this song of praise even while we wait on the world to join in. May our lives be given to helping others see God's worth and give to God alone all glory, honor and praise!
