Welcome to Fall friends!

Romans 12:1-2
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

It is very hard to believe that we are already in the last quarter of the year! This year has flown by, and even though we're already nearing the end of the year, it doesn't mean we don't have a lot of awesome stuff left in the year, including plenty of holiday activities!

We're kicking October off with an All Youth Overnighter on the 2nd and 3rd. We'll have art, karaoke, games, and more, doors open at 6pm and pickup is Saturday morning at 8am. Students don't have to stay overnight if they don't want and can be picked up any time before 11pm that evening!

Then on the 17th we have our annual trip to the Corn Maze at Anderson Farms. This is always a fun trip with plenty to do, including the corn maze, watching the pumpkin cannon, the petting zoo, pedal carts, and more! Tickets for this event always sell out, so please sign-up by next week to make sure you get a ticket!

Last but certainly not least we have our Costume Party and Clue Night on November 1st! This is going to be an evening of mystery solving, complete with plenty of treats, as well as a costume contest! We'll reveal a little bit more about our theme and what to expect next month, but until then, start planning your costume and inviting friends and make sure you sign up!

Finally, as you've probably heard by now, Ashley and I are currently pursuing a move to Boneza, Rwanda to minister with Arise Rwanda there. This was not an easy decision to make, especially considering how much we love all of you and the ministry we get to take part in here, but it is what we feel we are being led to do! Our plan currently is to make that transition sometime next year in late Spring or early Summer, but we'll keep you updated as things develop, and as we have more news to share!

Being the youth pastor at Grace for so many years has been such a privilege and Ashley and I are so grateful for the time we've had with all of you. While we will be moving away, we will be making sure we return for visits somewhat regularly, and will keep in contact as best we can from Africa!  

There are still lots of questions to be answered, I'm sure you all have as many as I do, and I'd be happy to chat at some point and share with you the ways God has and is moving and how our plans are developing!

We would very much appreciate your prayers as we move forward and look for God’s leading and timing with everything that goes into a transition like this!
